About Us

Our school motto is RISE: Respect, Inspiration, Success and Enjoyment. These qualities are lived throughout the school, making May Park Primary a happy and welcome place to learn.

We celebrate our multicultural community. All our learners including those who speak languages other than English, are well supported. Our school community provides a good foundation to integrate new members into the fabric of the school.

With over 75% of our children having English as an additional language, our community is diverse and inclusive; more than 26 languages are spoken by our families, many of whom are new to the country.

We value the contribution made by pupils, parents, staff, governors and visitors in supporting our children to achieve. All staff and children aspire to be outstanding learners. Our creative curriculum engages and challenges children to take responsibility for their own learning.

May Park children make good progress and we are committed to raising standards in line with national expectations. Our parents are involved in the success of the school through vibrant, weekly workshops. Our successful relationship with parents is ever-growing and the governing body is another form of support. Drawn from varied backgrounds, they share the determination to make further gains on the school’s journey to outstanding.

At May Park Primary, children want to learn. They are well-behaved, friendly and enquiring, enthusiastically taking up roles of responsibility in the School Council and as peer mediators. Alongside school work, they enjoy a wide range of extra-curricular activities from Shake-n-Wake to gardening clubs, making May Park a fun place for children to learn.
